Services
Move your technology forward.
Research that supports technology transfer decisions
Patent and scientific-literature prior art
Research relevant patent publications, scientific papers and other technical literature. Compare existing approaches with your technology and identify similarities, differences and questions for further review.
Claim analysis and patent landscape
Examine published claims, related patent families and competing approaches to identify potential differentiation, coverage limitations and issues relevant to licensing discussions.
Preliminary freedom-to-operate screening
Screen relevant third-party claims and available legal-status information to identify potential conflicts, jurisdictional questions and evidence gaps for patent counsel's review.
Commercial applications and market assessment
Identify potential commercial and defense uses, competing technologies, customer needs and adoption requirements, including applications beyond the invention's original field.
Licensee and industry-partner identification
Research companies whose products, capabilities and development activities align with the technology. Explain the evidence behind each match and prioritize organizations for further qualification.
Commercialization and capital readiness
Assess validation needs, development milestones, commercialization pathways and potential funding sources. Distinguish licensing opportunities from startup and product-development scenarios.
Services shaped around your next decision
Clearpath supports technology owners, technology transfer teams, IP brokerages and corporate IP teams. Start with one technology, a defined portfolio or an education program. Ongoing commercialization support is available by inquiry.
Final scope, deliverables, timing and fees are agreed in writing before work begins. Research depth and source coverage depend on that scope; additional work requires a separate agreement.
Technology assessment & commercialization strategy
For technology owners deciding whether to advance, strengthen or redirect an opportunity.
- What we review
- IP position, prior art, published claims, preliminary FTO concerns, potential commercial and defense applications, technology economics, capital readiness and industry alignment for one agreed objective.
- What you receive
- An assessment report, SME-reviewed Advance, Strengthen or Pass Decision Summary, prioritized findings and evidence gaps, an industry alignment map with available contacts, a technology one-pager, external brief and 90-day action plan.
- Engagement scope
- The Assess & Prioritize engagement includes two private 45-minute calls and 100 additional non-expiring platform credits at handover for further self-service work. Assessment and mapping are separate from outreach execution; scope and timing are agreed in writing.
Portfolio review & prioritization
For invention-review meetings, patent-investment decisions, dormant-IP reviews and licensing priorities.
- What we review
- Compare a defined portfolio using consistent IP, market, readiness and funding evidence. Consider licensing, sale, development, strengthening or further investigation without confusing a technology's verdict with its portfolio priority.
- What you receive
- Individual research reports, SME-reviewed Decision Summaries and shareable briefs, plus a comparative ranking with supporting reasons, identified gaps and recommended next steps.
- Engagement scope
- The defined ten-technology batch includes two shared 45-minute calls, not two per technology. Mapping depth and batch timing are agreed in writing. Outreach is not included; recurring reviews require an agreed engagement.
Industry partner research & managed outreach
For organizations preparing conversations with buyers, licensees or development partners, or adding capacity for a defined campaign.
- What we review
- Company-specific fit, relevant licensing, business-development and technical roles, available business contacts and positioning based on the technology's IP, market and capital-readiness evidence.
- What you receive
- A ranked target map and rationale, approved outreach materials, research reports and a campaign record covering attempts, actual responses, interest and next steps. A response is not automatically a qualified lead; contacts are not always verified.
- Engagement scope
- Execute the Campaign includes assessment, mapping, preparation, three months of authorized outreach with follow-up and monthly updates, and consolidated handover. The outreach period starts only after targeting and materials are approved and written authorization is received. Continuation, prior-payment treatment and any success fee are agreed separately in writing.
Education & entrepreneurship programs
For universities, entrepreneurship centers, accelerators, nonprofits and innovation programs. Teams can start with an idea, research finding, prototype or technology; no patent or established company is required.
- What we review
- Team-specific IP position, applications, commercialization pathways, capital readiness, funding candidates and industry alignment. Shared teaching covers Jobs to Be Done and customer discovery, with findings tailored to each team's stage.
- What you receive
- Team assessment reports, SME-reviewed Decision Summaries, use cases, funding candidates, industry alignment, one-pagers, external briefs and 90-day action plans, supported by two live teaching sessions and two shared office-hour sessions.
- Engagement scope
- The cohort supports up to ten teams with two intelligence rounds per team—initial plus one update—not unlimited reruns. Sessions are shared, not private calls per team. Objectives, schedule, coverage and fees are agreed in writing before work begins.
Tailored platforms & ongoing commercialization support
For organizations needing continuing capacity or a platform shaped around their workflow. Review your intake, evaluation, collaboration and reporting needs; agree the workflows, deliverables, support responsibilities and engagement period in writing. Ongoing support is defined work, not unlimited service.
You control the relationships.
Clearpath does not contact inventors, clients, buyers, or prospective licensees without written authorization and agreed engagement terms. Your organization retains negotiations and transaction decisions. Referred clients and prospects remain attributed to the originating organization.
Funding, responses, introductions, pilots, partnerships, licenses and sales are not guaranteed. IP research and preliminary FTO screening are not legal opinions or clearance. Handling and access requirements are covered on our security page.
Prefer to run the workflow yourself?
